This stunning tall vase has pillar molding, a ruffled edge, and ground pontil. It is 12 1/4" in height and 6 1/2" diameter and weighs 3 3/4 lbs. It has a graceful and distinct appearance where its 6 edges are gathered in tall columns from the base to the top where they end in a ruffle.
McKee Glass company was making this pattern glass in the 1860s where it appeared in their catalogs. One specialist places this vase circa 1900 and it could be earlier. The photo of the bottom shows scratches and wear consistent with the earliest date.
Condition is very good with no chips, cracks, nor flakes, just wear consistent with their age and use.
