A lovely Early 19th Century Antique Georgian Porcelain Dish by Josiah Spode of Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. This plate is decorated in underglaze colours with the "Imari" pattern No. 3701 and gilded. The pattern has the rare yellow fish-scale in the design and all gilding and over-painting is in wonderful condition. This dish is in the pattern # 3701 and was painted by another painter than the other two plates I have for sale and the wrong pattern # was used.The reverse with hand written Maker's Mark and pattern number in red, "SPODE 2701" together with Painter's Mark, two slashes.
