This is a oil painting by the Belgian painter Jean d'Orval. The painting is of a French art class. The painting is 24 " X 20 " and the frame is 31-1/4 " X 27-1/4 " ". Born in Belgium on Sept. 5, 1889. d'Orval (aka Buteners) settled in San Francisco in 1920. He maintained a studio and was active in the local art scene until his death on April 30, 1965.
