The Zeiss Ikon Ikonta 522/24 camera is a 35 mm camera that was produced from 1947 until 1953. The camera was one of the first 35 mm's to come from postwar Zeiss in the early 50's and was the design of Hubert Nerwin. The lens on this camera is a Novar Anastigmat 1:3.5 f=45 mm, Pronto. I have not run film through the camera, but have operated the shutter several times and it functions smoothly and without hesitation opening and closing. The shutter button is front mounted and the flat face and lens open and close effortlessly and lock securely into each position. The leather cover is original to the camera and in very nice condition including the strap. The latches on each side of the body both work easily and securely hold the body closed. The 522/24 is known for the quality of both workmanship and materials that went into it's making.
