Hawaii and South Seas Curio Company is probably the best known of the pre 1940 publishers of post cards, if not the most collectible for their content. This late 1920's or very early 1930's card of downtown Honolulu, Hawaii, I would have to say is one of the most interesting I've seen and I rate it's condition as excellent. It has only the slightest bump to the upper right corner. Other wise, I don't believe you could find this card in better condition. The street scene is full of interesting activity, the trolley car, the automobiles, all of the people, and under magnification, the various businesses you can easily pick out. The large building at the far right is the Central Building and is dated 1865. It houses the business of Joseph Schwartz. Although not published as a real photo post card, under magnification I see only solid colors, no dots. Not only is this a great pre 1940 Territory of Hawaii card but for collectors of main street scenes, this is a rarity most certainly. Thanks very much for coming by to look.
