Hawaii and South Seas Curio Company Alexander Young Hotel
The Alexander Young Hotel, Honolulu, Territory of Hawaii, as it appeared in the 1920's and as the subject of this Hawaii and South Seas Curio Co. post card. On the street are both horse drawn and gas powered vehicles while above we see no less than six American flags flying. This card is in VG condition. The reverse has the obvious staining but is other wise unwritten and unposted. On the front, in the lower right corner, is the faint white outline left from a paper corner holder on an opposite page in an album. The card is other wise free of holes, creases, tears, or other damage but does have some blunting of the corners. Everything considered, it's still a nice card from a famous publisher and a historic addition to any collection of hotel post cards. The stamp box is different from most I've seen, stating "Place Stamp Here ONE CENT For United States and Island Possessions, Cuba, Canada and Mexico TWO CENTS For Foreign."
