Paul Randall Railroad Print "The Niagara" Ca. 1972

Paul Randall Railroad Print "The Niagara" dated 1972. What a great shot of New York Central System Locomotive #6001, right down to the engineer enjoying the ride at his window as they steam on down the tracks. The Niagara is additionally described as a "4-8-4 locomotive in the S-1b Class...The Optimum of New York Central's steam power," all seen in the lower right. The print condition is excellent. The matte is professionally done and there is a studio name on the back of the print. Unfortunately, the fiber board backing is very tightly held in place (a good thing really) and the fold out picture stands have never been creased, so I cannot see the entire name of the studio underneath without doing possible damage. This is a picture that a railroad lover can look at and study the detail, imagining the sounds and smells.... And boys still like trains, so this could be a great addition to a youngsters room. The frame is 11 X 14 inches, of metal, and solid.
