Barclay Jewelry, Inc. began in Providence, RI in 1940 and closed in 1950's. Their showroom was located on 5th Ave, in NYC and concentrated on designing and making costume jewelry that was fashionable for women with a modest budget.
This is a wonderful set of fur clips that is very generous in size with a left and right design. Each fur clip measures two inches in length and one inch wide. Each clip has 9 faux pearls that measures .4mm each. They are in almost new condition with snug snaps for each clip. The Barclay cartouche is stamped on only one of the matching pair. In today's standards this is a stellar set of designer costume jewelry and fur clips are so hard to find today. (This company is not to be confused with the McClelland Barclay jewelry.)
