This is the second plein air painting finished while visiting a friends garden late in the summer. According to my plant field book Black-eyed Susan's are from the Sunflower family. It was fun creating the contrast of the bright yellow petals with the dark shadows behind.
This 9 X 12 is painted on an archival canvas panel in oil and is presented in a solid wood gold tone frame. The final outside measurements are 12 X 15 and it is ready for hanging. We look forward to working with you on your decorating projects.
Formerly a professional photographer and communications director, L. Warner has devoted the past decade to studying oil painting with many highly respected artist instructors from coast to coast. Now, a full time oil painter specializing in landscapes, my artwork has been represented in galleries in Wisconsin, Utah, Washington, Rhode Island and Massachusetts with paintings in many private collections. As a contemporary realist with an impressionistic flair, I strive to capture fleeting moments inspired by Mother Nature.
