ROBJ Paris France Art Deco 'Big Mama' Figural Rum Liquor Decanter c 1930
Robj, a premiere designer of home wares during the Art Deco era in Paris, France, especially figural liquor decanters,sponsored an annual competition between 1927 and 1931 as a means of finding new designers. A Cuban designer envisioned this rum decanter, which Robj loved and introduced as `Big Mama' from Martinique. Robj decanters are highly collectible today and have traditionally sold for between $700 and $800. Guaranteed original to the era.
