Exotic French Art Deco Figural Perfume Lamp, Beautiful Lady c. 1925

You can almost imagine the beautiful and exotic lady filling her basket with fragrant flowers or aromatic herbs. She is French (marked to the bottom) and sits with her gilded basket, just waiting for a dab of perfumed oil, lit from underneath with a small electric light, which warms the oil and scents the room. The hole to insert the electric wiring and bulb is on the bottom of the lamp, and an air hole in the top of her gilded turbaned head lets heat escape, but this is not currently wired. In her history, she was used as an inkwell, which you may choose to do, but her intent is as an exotic perfume lamp! The kits to electrify her are available at most lighting stores. She would take a small tea light or Christmas tree bulb. No chips, cracks or repairs...the bowl does show use as an inkwell. She measures 6 1/4" tall by 4 3/4" wide. Lovely and rare!
