Lovely European Art Deco Sepia Nude Signed Etching, c. 1925
A lovely Art Deco nude etching, in sepia ink, the lady playfully bathing beneath a waterfall spout in the form of a gargoyle. The etching is circa 1925, the framing is contemporary. Signed in pencil under the image. Image size is 11" x 4 1/2" inches. Framed size is 24" by 14".

Etchings were engraved in reverse by hand onto a copper plate, then inked in also by hand. The paper was immersed in water, then each image was pressed individually by hand. Usually only up to 300 images were printed because the plate deteriorated and was then skimmed for another engraving.
