Religious "Light Of The World" Print By C. Bosseron Chambers

This is a WONDERFUL old print by C. Bosseron Chambers, entitled "The Light Of The World". I love this print and have had it in several sizes through the years and have found each one a good home. This is a smaller version printed on a heavy cardboard. The gold frame is a nice compliment. The back has a paper label pasted to the brown paper backing, that tells about the painting and the artist. I took a close up photo so that you can read what it says. The print measures 7 1/4" by 6 1/4" by 1".

The frame is in sturdy condition and has some paint loss from handling, I suspect, along the top and could be easily touched up by someone who can match color.

There are NO stains, tears or marks on the prints. There is no glass over the print. Please view the photos as an integral part of the description and use the magnifying feature.

Great size for someone in an apartment or with not a lot of wall space.

FYI: The artist, C. Bosseron Chambers (1883-1942) was a very talented artist and his works are quite collectible. He painted predominantly religious, Catholic themed paintings that were reproduced and sold as prints such as: Come Unto Me , Sacred Heart of Jesus, The Immaculate Heart of Mary, Last Supper, Magi Nativity, The Holy Family, Suffer Little Children To Come Unto Me.

This particular painting, "Light Of The World" was the most popular religious painting of the early 1900's in the USA. Chambers was dubbed "the religious Rockwell". He also painted beautiful nudes and portraits with a gift for painting amazing emotion in the faces.

This example of his work, will be a source of inspiration for many years and become a treasured family heirloom.
