Vintage Wallace Sterling Silver Petite Serving Ladle

This is an exquisite sterling silver small serving ladle such as would be used for gravy or rich sauces at the table. This elegant sterling silver piece is clearly hallmarked with maker's mark of the renowned Connecticut silver smiths; R. Wallace & Sons (1871 to present) and the word sterling. The bowl of this lovely ladle bears the remnants of its original gold wash accent that have faded just a bit with age and loving use and with the piece in otherwise excellent condition.

This elegant sterling silver piece is rendered in what appears to be the Washington pattern discontinued in 1911 and weigh 0.8 ounces, is 5 ½ inches long with the ladle bowl measuring 1 ¾ by 1-½ inches. The end of the ladle bears the monogram P.
