Weller Vase – “Wild Rose” Pattern – circa 1940’s

This is a lovely vintage Weller Vase in the "Wild Rose" Pattern in very good condition. This beautiful piece of history is artfully done in the deco-style with a matte finish. The flower is pink, the branches are brown and the leaves green. The main color of the vase has been described as salmon, peach and apricot with bluish-green or aquamarine accents. A Weller vase by any other name, however, is simply fabulous!

It is interesting to note that inside at the bottom of the vase are two permanently affixed shard-like clay petals folded atop each other. A very nice touch to a very lovely Weller piece!

This double-handed vase stands 7 inches tall with a 2 ½ inch diameter at the mouth. The vase has a 10½" circumference at its widest point, measures 4 ½ inches across from handle ear to handle ear and weighs 1 pound 1 ounce. It is clearly marked with the familiar WELLER in script on the underside with the letter K for possibly L Knaus, one of their decorators. This wonderful vase is without cracks. It has a tiny inconsequential flake on the underside base. There is also a unique mold mark on the exterior base of the vase and rim, which add to the distinctive character and presentation of this piece.

This exceptional Weller Vase will surely add to your collection or provide you with your wonderful first Weller piece!
