Cast Iron Cold Painted Oriental Boy Doorstop – Early 1900’s

This is a great vintage figural cast iron doorstop in the shape of an Oriental boy dressed in a kimono sitting atop a floral decorated cushion. This wonderful doorstop is done in a 3-piece casting with the two joined halves of the boy attached to the floral decorated pillow, the third piece. He retains his original paint and although unsigned, was a style popular in the 1920's and 1930's.

This handsome young man weighs about 2 pounds 15 ounces, is 5 ½ inches tall and the base is 5 ¼ by 6 ¼ inches. This charming doorstop is in good condition with no cracks, damage or repairs and has some typical paint loss and paint darkening commensurate with his age. This wonderful cast iron doorstop is ready to grace your home décor and a great addition to your collection.

We are fortunate to have two of these intriguing doorstops – both are in similar condition and age. We would be pleased to discuss terms for the combined purchase of both doorstops.

Thank you for your interest in this terrific cast iron, cold painted Oriental boy doorstop and please feel free to browse our Ruby Lane exclusive shop, Little River Antiques & Collectibles, for other unique and exciting treasures.
