Steuben Gold Aurene Bonbon Dish Shape No. 738 – Circa: 1910 to 1915

This is an arrestingly beautiful example of a signed Steuben hand blown bonbon dish in iridescent and glorious gold Aurene with shimmering hints of purple highlights inside the bowl and around the ruffled rim. This exquisite bonbon dish is from the Fredrick Carder era of Steuben and is signed "Aurene Haviland" with a painted signature.

The Haviland lettering is unmistakable although partial due to signature paint loss and was used on pieces made by Steuben for the famous Haviland & Co. in New York City only from 1910 until 1915. The fact that the signature is just painted on and has survived this long is nothing less than amazing.

This extremely collectable and fabulous gold Aurene bonbon dish is in excellent condition, weighs 6.6 ounces, 1 ½ inches high and 6 ¼ inches in diameter. The slightly footed base is 1 ¾ inches in diameter with a polished pontil and is marked "Aurene Haviland".

Thank you for your interest in this exquisite Steuben Gold Aurene bonbon dish shape number 738 and please feel free to browse our Ruby Lane exclusive shop, Little River Antiques & Collectibles, for other unique and interesting treasures.
