Antique English Majolica Pitcher with Flower Sprays Against Tree Bark Motif – Circa: Late 1800’s

This is a charming antique English majolica pitcher featuring relief molded flower sprays in brown and deep rose highlighted with yellow glaze against a tree bark textured aqua colored glaze body complete with little tree limb stumps on the base and a spray of brown ivy under the spout. The interior of this lovely pitcher is completely glazed in a pale pink and sports a tree limb - like handle in a pretty brown glaze.

This wonderful English majolica pitcher weighs 1 pound 13.4 ounces, is 7 inches tall, the mouth is 3 ½ inches in diameter, the base is 4 inches in diameter and the pitcher is 5 ½ inches at its widest point inclusive of the handle. This lovely English majolica pitcher is in good condition considering the age of the piece with no chips or repairs save for a small hairline at the rim by the handle. There are also some darker wear marks on the bottom of the pitcher however these do not detract from the excellence of display or functionality of the piece.
