English Oak Leaf & Acorn Majolica Pitcher – Circa: Mid to Late 1800's

This is a fabulous and unique antique English majolica pitcher in a rich, warm brown glaze around the base, ascending to a vibrant green glaze decorated with forest fronds. The interior of this lovely pitcher is completely glazed in a creamy yellow, sports a tree limb handle and has a molded relief of oak leaves and acorns encircling the bottom.

This wonderful English majolica pitcher in the Oak Leaf & Acorn pattern weighs 1 pound 8.4 ounces, is 6 ½ inches tall, the mouth is 3 ½ inches in diameter and the base is 3 ¾ inches in diameter. This gorgeous and very elegant English majolica pitcher is unsigned but is of a pattern made by several of the established potteries; is in excellent condition with great color and no chips or repairs save for one tiny hairline inside the pitcher at the very bottom. This appears to be just in the glaze and is not apparent on the outside of the pitcher nor does it detract from the excellence of display or functionality of the piece.

Thank you for your interest in this fabulous antique English majolica pitcher in the Oak Leaf & Acorn pattern and please feel free to browse our Ruby Lane exclusive shop, Little River Antiques & Collectibles, for other unique and exciting treasures.
