English Relief Molded Parian Pitcher Cain & Abel – Circa: 1850's

This is an exceptional antique English, relief molded parian pitcher depicting the biblical story of Cain and Abel. This fabulous pitcher shows Cain's attack on Abel on one side and the grief of Adam & Eve over the lifeless body of their son, Abel on the other. The craftsmanship and meticulous detail of this pitcher is nothing short of remarkable and although unsigned, it is in the pattern registered by Thomas Till & Son in 1854.

This gorgeous parian pitcher is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs save for a few spots of wear on the base from years of loving display and use. This handsome pitcher weighs 2 pounds 8.6 ounces, is 10 ½ inches tall to the top of the spout, the mouth is 3 ½ by 4 inches and the footed base measures 5 ¼ inches in diameter.
