Vintage Lustre Ware Small Cake or Torte Plate By Lipper And Mann

What a beautiful piece of lustre ware for your consideration. This piece features very colorful apples, plums, and leaves in the center portion this piece. There is a slight curvature to the edge which would aid in holding fruit, cheeses, etc onto this piece. One could also place a small cake or tart on this piece. It features a beautiful gold gilded rim with scroll relief. This piece sets on a pedestal base with gold gild accent lines. On the bottom there are two areas that are marked 62/28 and there are two stickers that read Lipper and Mann. I believe this piece to be from the 1950 circa.

This compote measures 8 inches in top diameter. It is 3 1/2 inches high. The base diameter is 3 7/8 inches.

The condition of this piece is excellent. There are no chips, cracks, breaks or paint loss. The labels on the bottom are a little folded and creased, but can still be read.

What a gorgeous piece to display or for use at any special occasion!!!
