Double Handle Ornate Nickel Cobalt Blue Serving Dish

This gorgeous serving dish or bon bon dish comes to you from the makers of Henniger. The outside holder is very ornate and Rococo in it's design. It is double handled and has four lovely floral feet. It is made of a base metal, which is a German nickel made in the late 19th century. The insert is made of thick (1/4 in.) cobalt blue glass.

This piece measures 14 1/8 in. from handle to handle and is 6 1/4 in. wide. It stands 4 5/8 in. tall. The bowl is 2 in. deep.

The overall condition of this piece is great! There is some normal vintage wear which includes two very small chips in the rim of the glass insert. Both measure approx. 1/16 of an inch and are hardly noticeable (see last two pics). Other than this there is just normal vintage wear that is consistent with age and use. The outside holder has no dents, or dings, only some minor surface scratches that is also, consistent with age and use.

What a fabulous find...truly unique and would make a nice display anywhere and in any setting!!!
