Antique Schoenhut Wooden Donkey Toy for Circus! Nice Paint!
This is a wonderful antique Schoenhut wooden toy donkey that would look so cute in a Schoenhut circus! The donkey has great facial painting with his vibrant eyes, nostrils, teeth, etc. His body is in good condition. He has a rope tail, leather ears, and a black piece of felt down his neck for the mane. He measures 8 inches from head to tail. From the top of his back to his feet, he measures 4 inches tall. He is in great condition and really has no flaws except that like many Schoenhut animals, he is starting to get slightly loosely strung and floppy. As you can see in the first and last photos, I was able to stand him up, but his head hangs down. He may need to be propped up a little with a doll stand. Still, he is just wonderful and with the original paint in great condition!
