Garden Gate from Camden Maine - Rural Architecture

CAMDEN MAINE GARDEN GATE ... This wonderful pair of Garden Gates is from Camden Maine ... Its hard to put a date to these gate doors ... They are made of a thick plywood, the wood grain dates the wood around 1900-1910 ... The handles date around 1900-1920, the spring loaded hinges still remain, date unknown ... The original paint still remains solid on the right gate, the left gate may have been the primary gate used creating more visible wear ... The paint is a weathered pale Aqua Jadeite color ... Whether hanging on a wall as a form of art or retro-fitted to conceal a large flat screen TV, these gates are pure New England Folk Art - Rural Architecture ... Measurements: 48" length, 28" width, each door ... (Please review photos) ...
