We have offered here a wonderful Original Chinese Watercolor Painting on Cork Paper. This one is by Chiu Weng, and is from a series he painted of Birds and Blossoms. Mr Weng was chosen in 1984 to create 400 original Paintings for Data General as gifts for their Million Dollar Club for high sales achievers. The original brochure about this award is located in a pocket on the back of the Frame. He was the first to experiment with using Chinese Watercolors and Casein on Cork Paper, which gives a sense of depth while retaining the traditional qualities. His style has led to a new school of Chinese Painting. This one has a pair of Birds in flight at the top left corner, and a tree in blossom up the right side of the painting. It is signed in Chinese characters, as well as in English at the lower left. The image size is 18" by 24", and it is Framed and double matted. The total size is 25" by 32", and it is in excellent condition. A truly fabulous Original Watercolor with a good history.
