Magnificent Antique Porcelain Bird Dresser / Pin Dish
We have offered here a magnificent Antique Porcelain Bird Dresser or Pin Dish. This one features a full bodied, and colorful Bird, with the tail feathers wrapping around the bowl of the dish. It appears to be some kind of Pheasant or related bird, while the inside of the bowl is finished with a luster white glaze. The Dish is 5 1/2" long and 3 1/2" across, and has no chips, cracks, or other damage. The dish came with an old tag on the bottom dating the dish to circa 1870. It is unmarked by a maker, but shows all the signs of an early piece. It makes a truly charming Dresser Tray or just for display.
