This beautiful engraving of a horse called Mulatto by J. Weble was originally published by M. A. Pittman of Warwick Square, London in 1828. I asked the dealer who sold me this lithographs to mark the dates - and my invoice reads 1872, so this print is from a book published at that time.
The horse is a dark brown and the balance of the colors are grey and subtle yellows. It is hand colored. The actual print measures roughly 5 x 4 without titles and the paper measures roughly 7 x 5. This is the fourth listing of like prints, the other engravings are by John Scott. They are all clean, unframed and will make a wonderful grouping of very handsome, elegant engravings.
