Gorham Collector Plate: Southern Landmark Series

This beautiful cabinet plate by Gorham is from the American Commemorative Council as sponsored by the National Historical Society. It is one of sixteen plates in the Southern Landmark Series which depicts beautiful and well known Southern Homes and was made from 1973 through 1980. This one is Montpelier from 1976 as painted by John Alan Maxwell whose signature appears in each of the works. Made in USA of fine bone china the plates were produced in limited editions of 9800, this one is numbered plate 93. The plate measures 10 5/8" in diameter and features a 24 karat gold rim.

The plate is mint in condition and will come to you in its original styrofoam shipping box which in my view is great for storage, not gift giving unless to a close and known friend. There is no certificate or paperwork.

We are happy to answer your questions, so please ask them. We invite you to visit Orphaned Treasures on Ruby Lane and enjoy the additional Gorham listings for this series and the All-American Rose series and our other offerings.
