ANTIQUE VICTORIAN Gold Filled & Enamel Perfume Ball Pendant!

AGE: C.1895 or so

ITEM: A gold filled and enamel perfume ball that might have hung from a charm bracelet or worn as a pendant. The piece has a bit of history, my having found it in a shadowbox. On the back of the frame was a signed testimonial as to the contents and with the purchase of the perfume, I will include a copy of the note. In essence, to paraphrase, the note states.....

All 6 items in this shadow box frame were mine when I was a child... The perfume ball, filled with cotton, was to be saturated with perfume and worn on a chain around the neck --- as a locket would be. .....These items were placed here Oct. 19, 1961. Katherine Birnbaum Greason

CONDITION: Very nice with 1 small place (near the top) where a bit of enamel has gone amiss.

METAL CONTENT: Gold Filled or Gold Plate

HALLMARKS: None that I can spot.

SIZE: 7/8" high/wide/across

FINAL COMMENTS: A most unique pendant or charm.
