A fabulous DEEP RED lacquered wood bowl with a Sterling silver collar. The design has good clean lines with ridges around the neck and a dentil pattern nearer the base of the silver. The wood has been dyed a deep rich dark red with a high sheen lacquer finish. All original.
The silver is stamped Wallace sterling 6166 Modernique. This was probably intended to be used as a fruit bowl but it is just so beautiful without anything in it.
A perfect example of Form and Function.
Measure approximately 7" tall and 12 ½" across the top and 5 ¼" across the base the silver collar is 2 ¼" tall.
Good used condition. American c 1930.
