Chinese Carved Amethyst Pendant & Bead On Lovely 32 Inch Silver Chain

Beautifully pierce-carved Chinese amethyst pendant and faceted amethyst bead suspended from a lovely 32-inch sterling silver link-and-bar and filigree chain. The chain has four sets of stamped bars separated by filigree lozenges, a 3-inch chain extension with a matching filigree lozenge and a delicate "S-hook" closure stamped "Sterling". The pendant is crisply carved and prong-set in a sterling silver mount with a stamped design on the back below the faceted bead, a nice addition that provides an elegant transition from pendant to chain. This circa 1910 necklace is in excellent antique condition, the chain measures 29-inches plus a 3-inch extension and 1 1/2-inch drop to the bottom of the pendant assembly, a total of 33 1/2-inches.
