Highly Ornamented 1790 - 1810 Blonde Lace Bonnet / Wedding Veil

1790-1810 blonde lace veil with a diverse variety of ornamental work including honeycomb in the border flowers and flower buds, tiny wheatears, snow grounds and other decorative techniques on the floral bouquets, open rings and free-form cloth work. The pale honey-colored lace is very finely worked on a point ground with an outline of untwisted bundled threads, the motifs are delicate and graceful and the veil is in excellent uncleaned antique condition, very strong and wearable with a few pin-prick sized holes in the ground and some subtle age related discoloration, measures approximately 34 x 38-inches.
