Outstanding 1970's chiffon dress with a wonderful print of Mucha paintings. Alphonse Mucha was a prolific Czechoslovakian Art Nouveau painter perhaps best known today for his illustrations. His often-imitated style is feminine and romantic and epitomizes what most think of as the Art Nouveau aesthetic. This gauzy dress is beautifully tailored to achieve its romantic, flowing lines with plunging front-and-rear v-necklines, a draped panel that's internally weighted in back and expansive angel sleeves. The color palette is well-suited to the print and graciousness of the form and the dress is in excellent uncleaned vintage condition, ready to wear and measures 57-inches long with a 46 bust, 25-inch sleeve and wonderful 130-inch sweep.
