Estate 10K Gold Black Star Sapphire Ring

Vintage estate 10k yellow gold ring with two one-carat black star sapphire cabochons. The stones are placed diagonally in arched four-prong settings and both show a great depth and luster due to hematite inclusions typical of the stone and produce a strong six-point asterism in direct, single-source light. In excellent estate condition, unmarked, the stones test positive for sapphire and the metal tests positive for 10k gold, measures approximately 13 x 8-mm (1/2 x 5/16-inches)at the setting and a size 4 1/4 U.S. (sizeable).
