Dramatic 1930's Panne' Silk Velvet Batwing Sleeve Evening Coat

Fantastic 1930's black panne' silk velvet evening coat with a dramatic full-length silhouette featuring an 118-inch sweep around the assymetrical hemline and glamorous modified batwing sleeves. The inky black silk velvet is very buttery and sleek with an amazingly liquid drape that is used to great advantage throughout this luscious, exquisitely-tailored coat. There is a large, same-fabric button-and-loop closure at one side of the neck, cartridge pleats on the shoulders and the coat is in excellent uncleaned vintage condition, measures 60-inches long in back and 54-inches long in front with a 40 bust, 28-inch sleeve and 118-inch hemline.
