Late Edwardian Crisp Textured Cotton Overdress

Crisp cotton overdress from the teens with a tulle sailor collar, rolled piping at the shoulders and just above the ruffled cuffs and tatted trims. The sheer cotton has an intersting texture with tiny horizontal nubs and the dress closes with front hooks-and-eyes. In the teens this would have been worn over a longer dress or underskirt, but the length is certainly not a concern today. In excellent uncleaned vintage condition, strong and wearable with a few small spots on the skirt, measures an unexpanded 39-inches long with a 36 bust, 26 waist and 13-inch sleeve.
