The luscious silk velvet is shirred at the armscyes and the padded collar and there are same-fabric front button closures and a "The DGD CO., The Denver, Denver - Paris - New York" label. The languid, full-length silhouette with its swathed neckline and elegant drape exemplifies the 1930's penchant for romance, mystery and elegance and the coat is in excellent uncleaned vintage condition, very strong and wearable with light discoloration of the lining at the hemline the only flaw of note, measures an unexpanded 58-inches long with a 40 bust and 26-inch sleeve measured from the shoulder.
