Edwardian 14K Gold Lucky Horseshoe Brooch With Niello Enamel & Seed Pearls

Edwardian 14k yellow gold horseshoe brooch with silky black niello enameling and seven "lucky" seed pearls in an unusual configuration of four on one side and three on the other. The tiny pearls and their gold bezels are striking against the satin black enameling. Unmarked, tests positive for 14k gold and in excellent antique condition, measures 1 3/8 x 1 1/2-inches and weighs 10.3 grams/6.65 pennyweights.
