Pickard Art Nouveau Attached Serving Tray and Compote

I have for your consideration a lovely Pickard serving plate bearing Pickard Mark 7 (decal over gold maple leaf) (circa 1912).

This serving plate with attached center compote measures 9.5" in diameter and nearly 3" tall. The stemmed compote has a diameter of 4.5". The overall design, although floral in nature, has a feeling of being influenced by the art nouveau movement that was extremely popular at this time. The rim is trimmed in gold gild with another concentric wider band of gold surrounding the plate as it moves inward toward the center. This gold band has six diamond shaped insets, each of which forms the point where the artist has created a hand painted cluster of pink and blue flowers set in what appears to be a double mouth gold vase. The attached stemmed compote has a gold band around its base and around the rim of the compote itself. The center of the compote mimics another version of the floral design with a large gold gild circle in the middle.

This plate/compote piece is in very good to excellent condition. There is very little wear to the gold. There is no loss to the paint. There are no cracks, hairlines, flakes or flea bites.
