Massive Egyptian Revival Monumental Cranberry Glass Casket Or Box

Superb continental (Bohemian or possibly French) large casket or box in the Egyptian revival taste with bronze mounts supporting cranberry glass. The lid is exquisitely engraved with gilt florals. Large and in charge measuring 10.5 w x 6" deep x 5" tall. The finest quality workmanship with wonderful Pharaoh's head feet. It is a massive, heavy piece! Condition is excellent and original, clean and well-cared for. minor wear to gilding consistent with the age (150 + or - years old) but largely intact. No visible cracks or chips, although I won't say there might not be a couple of tiny nibbles along the sharp edges of the cutting that covers the piece. It looks as though there was once fabric that covered the interior bottom that the new owner would need to replace if so desired. We are picky about condition and consider this to be in excellent antique condition. USPS priority postage for the continuous will be a fixed 29.50 including insurance.
