We are pleased to offer this finely crafted Witch Ball in a Looped Nailsea Pattern with cranberry and amethyst pulls against a milk glass hand-blown sphere. These were popular as whimsies in the 19th century, and this pattern took the most skill to make. This measures just over 4" in diameter, and is an excellent example of the glassmaker's craft. The condition is excellent with just some roughness around the opening left over from the hand-making process and is common to all hand blown witch balls. Rich colors and a symmetrical pattern set this apart from ordinary examples, and you will look far and wide to find a nicer example.
