Antique French presentation display casket / box mignonette doll

Here we have a delicious ensemble...... a darling mignonette doll with blond hair and gorgeous blue eyes presented in a delightful antique French raspberry and red casket or box. A wonderful confection consisting of a pretty casket made from wood with a bow fronted glass front and 2 glass side panels. It is embellished with brass filigree friezes, 4 decorative feet, surmounted by a sweet floral garland handle with a wonderful aged patina. The box has a faded grandeur interior, lined with red velvet, has 2 mirrors with the usual age related damage and garnished with a sweet painted metal daisy flower.It has a remove-able raspberry silk padded cushion studded with little brass flower pins , with a large stain at the back. The back panel lifts off giving access to the interior which could be changed if the buyer desired. Presented on the cushion is a darling mignonette doll with lovely blue eyes, blond hair and skillfully painted face. She measures I have been told she was made by Armand Marseille in the 19th C. and is marked : Germany 390 A/3/O/M although I can not make it out too clearly ( please see last photo ). The casket measures 10 1/2 inches high 7 3/8th inch wide and is in good overall condition given it's age, the glass has a few scratches (example 2nd to last photo) and it rocks slightly. I have not undressed the doll and the parts of the body I can see has age related marks and light damage, her clothes are not original. Please study the photos as these form part of the description. Despite the imperfections, this is a delicious presentation confection, a wonderful way to keep this pretty doll safe and sound.......there is still some room left for one or two friends to keep her company.
