Delicious antique French ormolu and bevelled glass jewelry / trinket box with small wedding corsage. This decorative confection has taken on a wonderful faded grandeur air with some loss of gilding in places. It is in overall good condition, save for the 2 back legs which are a little distorted, so it rocks just the teeniest bit ( please see last photo). I think these could be redressed as they are made of brass but I have chosen to leave them as they are, as they do not detract from the box's charm.The padded crimson cushion is in good condition with just the merest wear to the fabric. The glass panels are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips , just a little loose in places but this is quite normal for these type of boxes. The casket is a good size and lid opens and snaps shut correctly. An utterly charming faded grandeur treasure for your own French boudoir.
