Delicious antique French wedding display cushion wax crown hands
Here we have a delicious 19th century French wedding display cushion with the bride's original splendid wax crown / tiara / headdress. A wonderful faded grandeur confection consisting of a firm square burgundy velvet cushion embellished with gold metallic passementerie and tassels, on which the delicious wax bridal finery is displayed. The cushion is fixed ( could be separated quite easily ) onto a pretty ebonized round wooden base adorned with a brass clasped hands motif. This splendid display boudoir piece has mellowed and gathered a little dust over the passing years but remains a very decorative heirloom treasure.
