Splendid flounce 19th C. embellished tulle lace needle bobbin applications
Superb long flounce of 19th C. Application Angleterre ecru tulle lace, hand embellished with needle and bobbin lace applications, dating from the Napoleon III period. A beautiful scalloped edge embellished lace with floral and foliage motifs. Measuring 166 inches long , it is in excellent condition with light foxing and the odd ancient repair to the tulle, done with great precision, barely noticeable, just melts into the background ( for example please see last photo ). Only the tulle lace is mechanic, the applications have been done by hand with great dexterity and would have taken hours upon hours to complete. A superb long length + 4 1/2 yards , perfect for haute couture , wedding dresses, period costumes etc.......I DO HAVE MORE OF THIS LACE , PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN LONGER OR SHORTER LENGTHS.
