I was unable to resist this hand painted wall hanging and could not pass it by without buying it, as it is utterly charming and would be just perfect for period display . I was told it dated from around the early 1900's and is signed A Parrilla . The 18th century scene depicts a group of ladies and gentlemen linking hands in a circle, playing blind mans bluff and they seem to be having great fun. The hanging has been edged in red velvet and is mounted on a metal bar at the top and has a wooden batten at the bottom to weight it. It is in very good condition save for a some creasing from where it has been stored away. A wonderful faded grandeur treasure for period display.
