There is a lot of history as to how this pin came to be a Hattie Carnegie item. The original pin was made by Coro in their early years. The design was procured from Coro when they finally closed their business and Hattie Carnegie used the design in her Oriental collection. Few were made and I will tell you that they are very hard to find. The dragon has a marvelous raised- dimensional look , very definite lines -a bold and unique design. The soft gold tone metal is the major part of the design with a nubby look that only a dragon could have. The tongue is lashing out ward and the teeth are large and quite amazing. The nostrils are flared and the large red cabochon glass eyes are glaring. What an interesting and very exciting pin. It is a heavy piece and it is made so very well with expert details. The teeth are enameled in a light cream color and the open wings are filled with very brilliant glass rhinestones. Unique, to say the least. This is not only a super looking pin but it is a part of jewelry collecting and it's history. The Hattie Carnegie name is on the back side. The condition is excellent vintage!! Fantastic pin! 2 1/2" by 2 1/4" and raised to 1". No shop owner or dealer discounts.NO paypal accepted- Check or money order only.
