Stoneware Restaurant Ware Sugar Bowl & Creamer

Vintage restaurant ware lidded sugar bowl and creamer by Syracuse China. American C.1931. Very simple cafe style shape with clean lines and a crisp white color. Hand painted green and peach colored lines with 'The Shirley' painted in scroll on the front. This is possibly the name of the restaurant or boat it was used on.

The bottom is stamped with 'O.P.CO.' which stands for Onondaga Pottery Company. It is also stamped with Syracuse China. The date code on the bottom of the creamer is L-4 which dates it back to April 1931. The date code on the bottom of the sugar bowl is I-7 which dates it back to July 1928. The letter preceding the number determines that it was made at the Fayette Street plant.

In fantastic condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.

Dimensions: Sugar Bowl: 4 1/4" diameter, 3 1/2" total height. Creamer: 3 3/4" wide, 4 1/2" handle to spout, 3 3/4" total height.
