French Country Style Long Sofa Table. American C.1920.

Offered is a unique, rustic, French country style long sofa table. It has a very pretty scalloped apron with trim and beading on each side. There is a single, shallow drawer to the front with beautiful original metal handles featuring a cherubs face. It stands on 4 elegantly shaped Queen Anne legs which are attached by a T stretcher to 2 neoclassical style turned legs.

The label inside the drawer shows it was made by Tomlinson Chair Manufacturing company, High point, North Carolina. Tomlinson Chair Manufacturing was renamed Tomlinson of High point in 1934 so this piece was made prior to that.

There is some pieces of trim and beading missing and there is some natural, age appropriate wear to the table top and edges which only add to it's character and charm. I don't know for sure what type of wood it is but it does have a very nice aged teak colored patina. It is in solid, sturdy, clean condition.
