Antique American Walnut knee Hole Desk, Writing Table, Bureau.

This beautiful piece features 4 small drawers across the top and 2 larger drawers situated on each side of the knee hole. The right and left top drawers also have a small hidden drawer behind them where, in times gone by, people would have hidden their money or prized possessions.

It stands on 4 turned legs and has very pretty glass knobs on the front of each drawer. The glass knobs are newer replacements but this piece most likely had glass knobs originally.

The whole piece has developed a wonderful medium to dark brown walnut patina with minor age appropriate wear throughout. It is in extremely solid, sturdy condition.

Dimensions: width 49 1/2", depth 26 1/4", depth including handles 27 1/2", height 30 1/4", knee hole height 24 1/2", knee hole width 18 1/2".
