Antique knee hole desk made in America from solid walnut and dating back to C.1880.
This beautiful piece features 4 small drawers across the top and 2 larger drawers situated on each side of the knee hole. The right and left top drawers also have a small hidden drawer behind them where, in times gone by, people would have hidden their money or prized possessions.
It stands on 4 turned legs and has very pretty glass knobs on the front of each drawer. The glass knobs are not original but suit the piece well.
The whole piece has developed a wonderful medium to dark brown walnut patina with minor age appropriate wear throughout. It is in extremely solid, sturdy condition.
